It is a pleasant walk to Murlough nature reserve and extensive beach. Dundrum is well placed to enjoy the Mourne mountains and Lecale peninsula and has an excellent bus service to Belfast.

Dundrum village has three shops, three restaurants, a pub, two cafés, an ATM, a pharmacy and a Doctors’ surgery. Newcastle is a small seaside town with a variety of independent shops, pubs, restaurants, cafés and supermarkets including Tesco & Lidl. There is also a library, amusements, pharmacies, a post office and much more along the Central Promenade.
