Ballydugan House

Ballydugan a much loved family home surrounded by large flower filled gardens, and is renowned for Simone Beach’s excellent Irish hospitality.

The ensuite bedrooms are large and airy with super kingsize doubles with great view of the peaceful gardens and rolling countryside of the Ballydugan Farm.

Our breakfast is amazing, as you would expect it to be! As many of the ingredients as possible are from our gardens and everything else is locally sourced. Needless to say there is a full Irish fry up, served in the historic dining room with an open fire and sunlight pouring in. A great start to anyones day.

Location Description

Directions from Clough to Ballydugan House.
At Clough roundabout, take the Downpatrick Road/Ballydugan Road (A25) for 4.6 miles (7.4km).
When you reach the crossroads (Ballydugan Road/Bonecastle Road) 4.3 miles with sign to Ballydugan Mill, you are 0.3 miles from Ballydugan House. Continue past next junction (Drumcullan Road) for 300 meters and turn left at the inconspicuous entrance to Ballydugan House.
Continue along the drive to the large house on top of the hill taking the right hand fork.

Directions from Downpatrick to Ballydugan House.
On entering Downpatrick, take the signs to town centre and then follow the directions to Newcastle (A25). On leaving Downpatrick you should pass the racecourse on your left and enter a long straight. Near the end of the straight (about ¾ mile), you will see a large road traffic sign marked Newcastle and the Mill, and Ballydugan’s gateway/entrance is opposite this (right hand side) amongst the mature trees. Take this inconspicuous entrance and proceed along the driveway 400m taking right-hand fork up the hill to the large house.
