Here you are surrounded by birdsong, clean air, and wonderful views, in the heart of our off grid smallholding. Walk in the woods, feed the hens, and enjoy fresh produce from our gardens. With some of the most stunning countryside in Northern Ireland on your doorstep – the Mourne Mountains, Tollymore and Castlewellan forest parks, Newcastle beach and the stunning Silent Valley are just a few minutes drive away.

Facilities include secure bicycle storage, woodburning stove and private woodland.

Location Description

From Belfast/Dublin A1 - From the A1 turn off for Castlewellan A50, follow towards Castlewellan, through Katesbridge, turn right onto Ballyroney Road signed Ballyroney, at T junction turn right onto Dromara road. Just before old railway bridge, 1 mile, turn left onto Lackan Road. Follow 2 miles, pass the crossroads of Flush and Crabtree Road, our lane is next on the right. Look out for the polytunnels in the front field. Pass the first entrance on the lane, Birch cottage is 20 yards on the left. Parking is at the end of the cottage.
