Location Description
Boa Island is located mid-way between Kesh and Belleek in Co. Fermanagh.
The full address is: 3 Portagaria Wood, Aghnablaney, Leggs, Kesh, Co. Fermanagh, BT93 2BG.
From Enniskillen (Including Belfast and Dublin)
• From Enniskillen, take the A32 towards Kesh. You will travel past the hospital.
• At the Trory roundabout, keep left on A47 to Kesh
• Continue through Kesh for 1.5 miles until you come to a Spar on right hand side.
Two routes exist from here:
1. Via Boa Island
• Opposite the Spar & garage is the road signposted Boa Island and Belleek - A47
• Continue along this road for 7 miles. You will cross onto Boa Island, off it and onto Inishkeeragh island and off it back to mainland (3 bridges)
• After approximately 1 mile turn off to the right, signposted Letter and Pettigo B136.
• Travel along this road for 0.5 mile.
• On right side there is a wide entrance sign posted Portagaria Wood.
• Wait by the gate for access.
2. Via Pettigo
• Travel straight past the Spar & garage.
• Continue on the A35 into Pettigo (5 miles)
• in Pettigo, turn left at road signposted to Belleek - R232
• After 1 mile there will be a left turn sign posted Belleek - B136
• Continue along this road for 2 miles and look out for a church on the left side - St Johns.
• After the church you will see a wide entrance on the left side and sign posted Portagaria Wood.
• Wait by the gate for access.
From Belleek
• Take road to Kesh - A47
• Travel approx. 8 miles.
• Take road to left sign posted Letter and Pettigo B136.
• Travel along this road for 0.5 mile.
• On right side there is a wide entrance sign posted Portagaria Wood.
• Wait by the gate for access.
