Willoughby Place
42 Willoughby Place is a luxurious exclusive use five-star self-catering Georgian townhouse in the heart of Enniskillen. Built in the 1800s and located in the oldest part of Enniskillen, Willoughby Place is just a short walk away from the town centre, where you can enjoy the many delights that Enniskillen has to offer. The house is Grade II listed, and features decorative plasterwork, original sash windows with working shutters and uniquely an ornate Georgian wrought iron balcony. In its former years, 42 Willoughby Place was used as a boarding house to provide homely and comfortable accommodation for schoolboys at Portora Royal School, where many notable men and literary greats were educated, including Oscar Wilde, Nobel Laureate winner Samuel Beckett, and Henry Francis Lyte who penned the hymn ‘Abide with Me.’ Having been the subject of extensive renovations whilst keeping its original spacious Georgian layout and period features, 42 Willoughby Place provides the perfect holiday accommodation for your special occasion, luxury break or celebration in Enniskillen. The house boasts three bedrooms comfortably sleeping up to six people in a mix of superking and double rooms. There are two bathrooms; one ensuite and one family bathroom in keeping with the character of the house, containing a roll top bath. The reception room features an open fire surrounded by a decorative Georgian fireplace and a cosy seating area, which is fabulous for entertaining family and friends. Double doors lead in to the south facing dining room complete with antique mahogany furniture and floral drapes creating warmth and intimacy during winter months. The property also features a large, modern well-equipped kitchen, which leads out through French doors into a charming south facing courtyard patio area complete with barbecue facilities. Free private off road parking is provided at the rear of the house with ample space for two cars.
