Belfast Exposed

Based in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter, Belfast Exposed was founded in 1983 by a group of local photographers as a challenge to media representation of the city’s experience of conflict.

Since then our work has developed further and now comprises of a Northern Ireland principal gallery of contemporary photography, commissioning, publishing and showing work by local and international artists and photographers.

For the visitor we offer an archive collection of historical images, a sample of which is available in the Exchange Space and also via the website. A bookshop which stocks a wide range of thought provoking photographic, arts and social sciences titles. A Reading Room, which provides welcoming space for study and research, with access to an extensive collection of books and reference materials.

Belfast Exposed is accessible – for full details of their accessibility features, see Belfast Exposed | AccessAble
