Oxford Island Nature Reserve

Four miles of footpaths, five birdwatching hides, woodland, ponds, wildflower meadows, picnic and play areas. The centre is fully accessible and houses an exhibition where visitors can learn all about the history, the culture and wildlife in and around Lough Neagh. Craft shop and Loughside Cafe with panoramic views of the Lough.

Bounded on three sides by water, it is a haven for wintering wildfowl which can be viewed from the five bird hides that are spread around the shore. Much of the Reserve was planted with trees about 40 years and there are pleasant walks through the woods and old shoreline scrub which abound in song birds.
