Sentry Hill Historic House & Visitor Centre

Sentry Hill is a 19th century farmhouse in the Parish of Carnmoney, County Antrim. The house and its contents provide a rare insight into life in rural Ulster during the 19th and early 20th centuries. Sentry Hill was the home of the McKinney family, who came to Ireland from Scotland in the early 1700s. Remarkably the contents of the house have survived along with an extraordinary collection of artefacts, both from the local area and from around the world. Sentry Hill offers an entertaining day out to visitors of all ages with facilities including guided tours, attractive gardens, a café, gift shop and picnic area. Young people aged 16 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult on guided tours. Pre-booked group visits are accommodated throughout the year. Visits by schools and groups of 10 or over must be booked in advance to ensure entry.

Directions from Town:From Belfast, exit the M2 at Sandyknowes roundabout. Take the A8 (Larne) exit from Sandyknowes and at Corr's Corner roundabout, take the third exit towards Glengormley (Ballyclare Road). After 1/2 mile turn right on to the Ballycraigy Road and Sentry Hill is 1 mile along this road
