City of Bangor Christmas Lights Switch On

Celebrate Christmas in the City! Enjoy festive family fun throughout the city centre, including the annual City Centre Passport Trail. Kickstart your Christmas shopping, be entertained, and mark the beginning of the Christmas season in Bangor.

Join us at the front of City Hall for the annual switch-on of the Christmas lights and a spectacular themed light show.

Activities will run throughout the day, 12noon – 7pm and the big Switch On will happen at 6pm outside of the front of Bangor City Hall.

We encourage visitors to travel via public transport and bring along reusable bags to pick up goodies at the event. Please dispose of rubbish at the recycling stations provided. By car - Follow directional road signs to Bangor City.

Car parking - will be restricted at Queen’s Parade Car Park. Information on car parking in the city can be found here
