Portadown Heritage Tours is a Community Tourism based initiative developed to promote Portadown and the surrounding area through tours, events and published content. There is no set charge for tours or events. We have recommended donations towards the work of Portadown Heritage Tours Tours include: Portadown Town Guided Walking Tour- with over 60 stops we look back over 400 years of industrial and commercial History and Heritage. Guided Tour of Carelton Street Orange Hall & Heritage Centre- The hall has been at the heart of Portadown since 1875. The hall is fitted with Audio Tours using I-Beacon technology the first of its kind in any tourist building in Northren Ireland. Bringing a new style of audio tours to the tourism Platform. The Siege of Drumcree Guided Tour- Developed by individuals who were serving in the Army and Police at the time and also members of The Loyal Orders who were at Drumcree for the duration of the Siege and witnessed the events first hand. Please note: This tour is carried out for large groups only, it is nit a walking Tour and requires bus transport, which the group must provide. Our guides will then conduct the tour onboard.
